Reagan Hospital gets $10 million
gift.
According to a report by the Hospital Association of
Southern California, the Annenberg Foundation has given $10
million to the
Ronald Reagan
UCLA Medical
Center on September 12, 2007 to
help replace the facility damaged in a 1994 earthquake.
In recognition of the gift, the hospital will name its
new concourse the Wallis Annenberg Concourse, which will
connect the
Reagan Hospital,
the neuropsychiatric hospital and the children's hospital.
The new medical center was designed by noted architect
I.M. Pei and will be equipped with the most up-to-date
medical technology available.
The three major hospitals comprising the complex also
will include 520 private patient rooms, day beds for family
members, wireless internet and outdoor play areas for
pediatric patients.
The new facility will open once all staff have been
trained and all new medical equipment is installed and
operating correctly. |
